IRON NEST System Requirements
Use the live official store requirements before buying or troubleshooting performance.
Evidence map reviewed: Aug 9, 2026
Requirements can change after patches, so this page links to the live Steam, GOG and FAQ records rather than freezing stale numbers.
Official PC requirements
IRON NEST is officially supported on Windows. Steam and GOG currently publish the same two hardware tiers:
| Component | Minimum | Recommended | | --- | --- | --- | | Processor | Intel Core i5-4460 / AMD FX-8350 | Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | | Memory | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM | | Graphics | Intel UHD / AMD Vega 8 | NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB / AMD RX 580 8 GB | | DirectX | Version 10 | Version 10 | | Storage | 5 GB available space | 5 GB available space | | System | 64-bit processor and operating system | 64-bit processor and operating system |
The official minimum target is an average of 30 FPS at 720p on low settings. The store also recommends a dedicated GPU for a smoother experience and warns that thermals and the rest of the system configuration can materially change performance.
Steam Deck and storefront notes
The developer announced Steam Deck verification before launch. GOG lists Windows support, controller support and an optional offline installer; GOG Galaxy is not required to run that edition. These storefront facts do not automatically prove native Linux or macOS support.
Before buying
- Compare CPU, GPU, memory, storage and operating-system requirements separately.
- Treat the minimum tier as a low-setting 720p baseline, not a promise of high-resolution performance.
- Use the recommended tier when you want more margin for resolution, effects and busy mission states.
- Leave storage headroom for patches and shader caches.
When troubleshooting
Record resolution, graphics preset, driver version, CPU/GPU temperatures and the mission where the problem occurs. “Meets minimum requirements” does not identify whether the bottleneck is graphics load, thermals, a driver issue or a particular scene.
The table above was checked against the live stores on August 9, 2026. If a later patch changes the requirements, the live store listing takes priority.
