IRON NEST Multiplayer: Current Status

The current release is a single-player game; this page separates launch facts from future plans.

Evidence map reviewed: Aug 9, 2026

Evidence boundary

Launch status is supported by official store and FAQ material. Future multiplayer has no date here unless the developer announces one.

Current status

IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator launched as a single-player game. The store feature list and the developer FAQ agree on that point: every station inside the turret is operated by one player, and neither online co-op nor competitive multiplayer is part of the current release.

That distinction matters when buying the game. Its present campaign and challenge missions are complete single-player activities; multiplayer is a future project, not a missing menu option that can be enabled today.

Two different multiplayer plans

The developers have described two separate plans:

  1. Multiplayer for Heavy Turret Simulator. Each player would command a separate IRON NEST on the same map. The stated direction includes shared-target cooperative missions and competitive modes in which players can become one another's targets.
  2. A standalone co-op game. This is a different future title where several Operators would work aboard the same platform. The FAQ currently places that separate game in a late-2027 or early-2028 planning window.

The current FAQ does not give a release date for multiplayer inside Heavy Turret Simulator. A planned mode, a separate co-op title and the game you can play now should therefore be treated as three different things.

Buying decision

  • Buy the current game for its single-player campaign and firing workflow.
  • Do not buy it on the assumption that another player can already share your turret.
  • Do not use the standalone co-op window as the date for Heavy Turret Simulator's multiplayer update.
  • Recheck official announcements before repeating any release window.

What to watch for

A real status change should appear in an official patch note, announcement or revised FAQ. Community requests, store tags and roadmap wording are useful signals, but none of them prove that a playable multiplayer build has shipped.
